Research Topic - Leadership's Role in Transforming Negative Organizational Culture into a Positive Workplace

This study is part of the researcher's doctoral education program to understand the leadership's role in transforming negative organizational culture into a positive workplace.

As a leader in your field, your insights and experiences are invaluable to our research efforts. We are particularly interested in engaging with executive leaders who have managed teams of over one hundred employees.

Participation in this study will involve sharing your perspectives on executive leadership, including your experiences, challenges, and strategies for leading well. The interview will be approximately [30] minutes via Zoom, and we ask you to plan for 45-60 minutes on your schedule, with a possible second virtual interview lasting 15-30 minutes. Your input will contribute to a better understanding of effective leadership practices in today's dynamic business environment.

Participant Research Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Executive leaders manage over one hundred employees, including directors, managers, and staff.

  • Experience in executive-level leadership roles within organizations with over 100 employees.

  • Ability to manage front-line employees and implement strategies to reduce negativity in the workplace.

  • Capability to identify effective strategies for fostering alignment, collaboration, and engagement among employees, particularly within larger organizations.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • No prior working relationship or association with the researcher.

  • Not currently on a performance improvement plan (PIP) or placed on one within the past year.

  • No involvement in recent incidents of workplace misconduct or disciplinary actions.

  • No conflicts of interest that may compromise objectivity or impartiality in providing information for the study.

Research Ethics and Guidelines

Based on the ethical guidelines set forth by the Institutional Board (IRB) and Capella University, this qualitative research study, which is grounded in theory, adheres to strict protocols to ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of participants throughout the interview process and subsequent dissertation publication. Before data collection, informed consent procedures were meticulously followed, providing participants with comprehensive information regarding the study's objectives, procedures, potential risks, and their rights regarding confidentiality and anonymity. Alphanumeric codes and careful redaction of identifying information will be employed during data analysis and data storage to safeguard the identities of participants. Furthermore, in disseminating findings through the dissertation, every effort will be made to maintain the confidentiality of participants, including the use of generalized descriptions and the careful selection of quotes to prevent any inadvertent identification. This study upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct to protect the privacy and dignity of participants in full compliance with the ethical guidelines set forth by the IRB and Capella University.
